FLACS
- Bladeless laser cuts replace surgeon's manual incisions.
- Perfectly centred, 5.0 mm capsulorhexis ideal for premium IOLs.
- Less ultrasound energy gentler on the corneal endothelium.
Surgery is offered when the cataract starts impacting daily activities not when it reaches an arbitrary thickness. Here are the early signs we look for.
Looking through a foggy window. Print, faces and signage lose their sharpness gradually over months.
Oncoming headlights blur into starbursts. Driving on Delhi-NCR expressways at night becomes risky.
Your prescription has shifted twice in the last year your near vision may have temporarily "improved" (second sight).
Whites look beige, blues look grey. Painters, designers and photographers notice this first.
Two images of the same object when the other eye is closed sign of nuclear sclerosis altering refraction.
Sunlight scatters off the cataract sunglasses no longer help and outdoor activity feels uncomfortable.
You keep turning on extra lamps to read what you used to read in normal room light.
Diabetes accelerates cataract formation. Long-term oral or inhaled steroids cause posterior subcapsular cataract.
Choose the row that fits the density of your cataract, the health of your cornea and your budget. Indicative price ranges reflect typical NABH-accredited centre rates in Delhi-NCR and are paid directly to the operating centre.
About the prices: indicative cost ranges based on publicly listed rates at NABH-accredited Delhi-NCR cataract centres in 2026. The final figure depends on the IOL brand & type, laser platform, surgeon experience, anaesthesia & room category. Cure For Eyes does not charge a procedure mark-up our pre-operative work-up and follow-up bundle are billed separately. Cashless insurance typically covers MICS phaco + monofocal IOL fully premium IOL upgrades are paid on top-up.

How we counsel IOL choice: we go through your daily activities reading habits, screen hours, night driving, sports, occupational demands and review your corneal topography, macular OCT and pupil size. A patient with macular pathology, glaucoma or low corneal contrast is gently steered away from multifocal IOLs. The IOL we recommend is the one your eye actually tolerates not the most expensive option on the shelf.
Typical timeline 2 to 4 weeks from initial evaluation to first-eye surgery, followed by the second eye 1-2 weeks later.
We listen to your symptoms, run a screening slit-lamp check and discuss whether you are ready for surgery. If yes, we book your full pre-op evaluation at the right partner centre for you.
Complete diagnostic suite at the partner centre: IOL Master biometry, corneal topography, macular OCT, specular microscopy, tear-film evaluation and B-scan if needed.
We review your partner-centre reports with you, walk through 2 or 3 suitable IOL options matched to your lifestyle, and help you compare quotes and insurance coverage before you finalise.
BP, HbA1c, ECG and physician fitness done at the partner centre. Diabetic patients have HbA1c targeted below 7.5% before surgery, in coordination with their endocrinologist.
Topical anaesthesia. 10 to 15 minutes per eye. You walk out the same day with a clear shield. Immediate post-op reviews on Day-1, Week-1 and Month-1 are conducted by your operating surgeon at the partner centre.
Once your surgical follow-up is complete, Cure For Eyes becomes your annual eye-health home: routine exams, and posterior capsule check.
Picking the right IOL power is a maths problem solved by the right instruments. Our partner centres use the same standard-of-care diagnostic suite found in international cataract units in Singapore, London and Toronto. We sit with you afterwards and translate every report into plain English.

Maps anterior & posterior cornea to detect irregular astigmatism, ectasia and determine the toric IOL axis.
Rules out diabetic macular oedema, AMD or epiretinal membrane critical before quoting realistic visual outcomes.
Endothelial cell count. Below 2000 cells/mm² we recommend FLACS to minimise phaco energy.
Schirmer's, TBUT, meibography post-op visual quality with premium IOLs depends heavily on a healthy ocular surface.
For dense or mature cataracts where fundus is not visible rules out retinal detachment or macular pathology behind the cataract.
Our partner centres process direct cashless approvals 24-48 hours of pre-authorisation typically suffices. Senior citizens with CGHS, ECHS & Ayushman Bharat coverage are eligible at panel rates.
A cataract decision involves you trusting someone for life with the lens inside your eye. We earn that trust by not selling you the surgery.
Our fee is fixed. We earn nothing extra if you upgrade from monofocal to trifocal. The IOL we recommend is the one your eye tolerates not the one with the best margin.
We refer to senior phaco & FLACS surgeons across Delhi-NCR based on the complexity of your case dense cataract, premium IOL, combined glaucoma not on a commercial panel.
India's hot, dusty, AC-heavy lifestyle worsens post-cataract dry eye and dry eye ruins the visual quality of premium IOLs. We treat it for 2-4 weeks before surgery and 3 months after.
India has 100M+ diabetics. We make sure your HbA1c is optimised and the macula has been checked on OCT, coordinating with your endocrinologist and partner centre before you are cleared for surgery vital for stable post-op vision.
Our consultation and IOL counselling fee is listed up front. Pre-op diagnostics and surgical fees go directly to the partner centre. No surprise invoices, no hidden mark-up, no commission flowing through us.
Cataract surgery is one milestone among many. Once your surgical follow-up is done, we remain your home for annual exams, eye health monitoring, and YAG referral if posterior capsule opacification develops.
Names changed for privacy diagnoses, IOL choices and visual outcomes are exactly as recorded.
I am 64 and a senior High Court advocate. I needed perfect distance for the bench, intermediate for my laptop, and near for legal files no glasses on. Cure For Eyes counselled me on PanOptix trifocal with FLACS. Six weeks in, I read briefs without specs for the first time in 25 years.
I had 2.5 D of astigmatism along with the cataract. Cure For Eyes ran the topography twice to be sure, and recommended an AcrySof toric monofocal good distance vision plus reading glasses for newspapers. Cashless cover through Star Health, total out-of-pocket only the IOL upgrade.
I am a 58-year-old diabetic. My HbA1c was 9.2 and there was early DME on the OCT. Cure For Eyes paused everything, brought my sugar down with my endocrinologist over 8 weeks, then referred me for combined phaco-vitrectomy. Both eyes done. I drive my Innova to office again.
I'm 56, software architect at a Delhi MNC, 11 hours on screens daily. My priority was zero halos at night for driving on the expressway and good intermediate vision. The team suggested Alcon Vivity. Zero halos, sharp dashboard, only specs for fine print.
My father, age 78, had a rock-hard mature cataract he had been ignoring for 4 years. Cure For Eyes was honest FLACS wasn't needed, MSICS at our partner centre would be safer and fully cashless under Ayushman Bharat. He sees 6/12 with glasses now. Reads his Bhagavad Gita again.
At 49 I was already on progressive lenses with −5.50 D myopia. Lasik wasn't ideal at my age. The team explained refractive lens exchange with toric trifocal IOLs no LASIK, no future cataract, no specs. Eight months later I still wake up surprised that I can read my phone before getting out of bed.
