FDA-approved overnight contact lenses that gently reshape the cornea while you sleep. Wake up to clear, glasses-free vision all day. Safe for children, teens and adults.
Remove them in the morning and enjoy clear vision all day, no glasses, no surgery.
Orthokeratology, or Ortho-K, uses specially designed gas-permeable contact lenses to gently reshape the cornea while you sleep. By morning you can enjoy clear vision all day, without glasses or daytime contact lenses.
It bends light to focus images onto the retina. In myopia (nearsightedness), it is too steeply curved, causing distant objects to appear blurry.
The custom-designed lenses apply gentle hydraulic pressure to flatten the central cornea by a few microns while you sleep peacefully.
In the morning you take the lenses off and enjoy sharp, glasses-free vision throughout the day. The effect is fully reversible.
No surgery, no daytime hassle. Here is what a typical day looks like once your custom lenses are fitted.
Clean hands, fresh solution, gentle insertion. Just like soft contact lenses, but worn overnight.
The lens design redistributes corneal epithelial cells to correct your prescription. You sleep, it works.
Take them off, store in fresh solution. Ready for the day, no spectacles, no daytime contact lenses.
Sports, school, screens, swimming. Live freely with no correction during the day. Repeat tonight.
In myopia, light focuses in front of the retina because the cornea is too steeply curved. Ortho-K lenses flatten the central cornea by a few microns, redirecting light precisely onto the retina, without removing any tissue.
The steeply curved cornea bends light too strongly, focusing distant objects in front of the retina, producing blurred vision.
The Ortho-K lens gently flattens the central cornea, redistributing the epithelial cells through gentle hydraulic pressure.
With the cornea now perfectly shaped, light focuses precisely on the retina. Sharp, glasses-free vision all day. Fully reversible.

Yes. Ortho-K lenses are FDA-approved and have been used safely worldwide for over two decades. At Cure For Eyes every fitting is preceded by detailed corneal mapping, and patients are taught strict hygiene protocols to minimise any risk of infection, comparable to standard contact lens wear.
Clear vision lasts throughout the day, from the moment you remove the lenses in the morning until you go to bed. As long as the lenses are worn each night (or as advised by your optometrist), vision remains stable. If you stop wearing them, the cornea returns to its original shape within 1 to 2 weeks.
There is no procedure or surgery involved. The lenses are placed on the eye like normal contact lenses. Most patients adapt to the sensation within a few nights and find them comfortable enough to sleep in. Children typically adapt even faster than adults.
Ortho-K typically costs ₹27,500 to ₹40,000 per eye. LASIK is a one-time surgical investment, while Ortho-K is an ongoing programme with lens replacements every 18 to 25 months. They are different categories of solution, Ortho-K is the only option for children, for those not yet ready for surgery, or those who want a fully reversible alternative.
Yes. Modern toric Ortho-K designs can correct mild to moderate astigmatism (cylindrical power) alongside myopia. Higher levels of astigmatism need a custom design, and suitability is confirmed during the corneal topography assessment at your consultation.
Most practitioners begin Ortho-K therapy from age 6 onwards. The key requirement is that the child (with parental help) can demonstrate responsible lens hygiene. Starting earlier in childhood gives the greatest benefit in slowing myopia progression.
