Step 1 · Are you a candidate?

Most spectacle-wearers can get rid of their glasses. A few should wait.

A 5-minute self-check before you book. The actual decision comes only after objective testing.

You are likely a good candidate if…

  • You are 18 years or older (21+ preferred for ICL).
  • Your spectacle prescription has not changed by more than 0.50 D in the last 12 months.
  • Myopia between −1.00 D and −10.00 D, hyperopia up to +5.00 D, or astigmatism up to 5.00 D.
  • Healthy corneas with no history of keratoconus, scarring or recurrent erosion.
  • Generally healthy realistic expectations and able to attend follow-up visits.
!

We will pause or recommend an alternative if…

  • You are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy in the next 6 months.
  • You have keratoconus, forme-fruste keratoconus, or a topography pattern flagged on Pentacam.
  • Corneal thickness below ~480 µm in either eye laser ablation may compromise structural safety.
  • Uncontrolled diabetes, autoimmune disease (lupus, rheumatoid arthritis) or chronic steroid use.
  • Severe untreated dry eye, active ocular infection, glaucoma or retinal pathology.

Step 4 · The science behind the choice

Diagnostics that decide which procedure is safe for you.

Refractive surgery is not a one-shot decision it is an output of six instrument-based investigations. We use the same standard-of-care suite found in international refractive units.

Step 5 · Why Cure For Eyes

Independent. Evidence-based. In your corner.

We are an optometry-led super-speciality clinic not a surgical chain. That changes the conversation.

01

We don't sell surgery

Our revenue is not tied to your procedure. If your eyes are not ready for LASIK we will say so even if it means a refund and a return visit in a year.

02

Surgeon-agnostic referrals

We work with a vetted panel of refractive surgeons across Delhi-NCR. The referral is based on your prescription and the procedure that suits you not who pays us.

03

The dry-eye safety net

India's hot, dusty, AC-heavy lifestyle worsens post-LASIK dry eye. Our in-house dry-eye protocol begins three weeks before surgery and continues for six months after.

04

Recognised on Shark Tank India

Featured on Shark Tank India Season 2 for our work in vision therapy and accessible specialty eye-care credibility built over a decade in Gurugram.

05

Transparent pricing

Our work-up fee, follow-up bundle and aftercare costs are listed on the booking page. No surprise invoices. Surgical fees are paid directly to the operating centre.

06

Lifetime eye-health partner

Specs removal is one milestone among many. We remain your primary eye-care home for annual exams, paediatric vision, contact lenses and screening.

Contoura Vision

I was a −5.50 D contact-lens dropout because of dry eye in office AC. Cure For Eyes ran the Pentacam, treated my MGD for three weeks, then referred me for Contoura. Day-1 vision was 6/6 in both eyes. I keep a follow-up at Gurugram every six months.

AM
"
ICL · STAAR EVO

At −12.50 D in one eye and −11.00 D in the other, laser was not safe my corneas were too thin. The team explained ICL clearly and walked me through the maths. Eight months later I still cannot believe I open my eyes and just see.

PS
"
Trans-PRK

I needed PRK because I am a boxer flap-based surgery was off the table. Recovery was honestly tough for the first four days, but Cure For Eyes had me on a clear lubricant schedule. By day-7 I was back in the gym. 6/6 uncorrected.

VR
"
SILK

I wanted the latest, smallest-incision option my husband had researched SILK. The candidacy report at Cure For Eyes confirmed I was a perfect fit −3.25 D, healthy corneas, normal tear film. Five hours after surgery I was reading the metro signage.

SI
"
SMILE · ReLEx

As a commercial pilot the DGCA rules made me anxious. Cure For Eyes already had a checklist matched to aviation medical standards we chose SMILE for the stronger flap-free cornea. Cleared my Class-1 medical four months later.

RK
"
RLE · Multifocal IOL

At 49 I was juggling specs for distance, reading and computer. Lasik was not really for me at this age. RLE with a trifocal IOL meant one operation cured all three. The neuro-adaptation took six weeks now I drive at night without a single pair of glasses.

Frequently asked

Questions we hear every week.

Not seeing your question? Send it to us on WhatsApp at +91 96508 92979 a doctor will reply, not a chatbot.

What is the minimum age for LASIK in India?
You must be at least 18 years old, with a spectacle prescription that has remained stable (within 0.50 D drift) for the previous 12 months. Most surgeons prefer candidates aged 21 and above the eye is then almost certainly done growing. ICL is usually offered from age 21 onwards.
How long does the laser part of the surgery actually take?
The laser application itself takes 10 to 30 seconds per eye for most procedures (Contoura, SMILE, SILK, Femto-LASIK). Total time in the operating room, including draping, docking and post-op irrigation, is around 10 to 15 minutes for both eyes combined.
Is the procedure painful?
No anaesthetic eye drops are used and the laser itself is painless. Expect 4 to 6 hours of grittiness, watering and light-sensitivity after Contoura, SMILE, SILK or Femto-LASIK. PRK and Epi-LASIK involve a longer surface-healing period 3 to 5 days of moderate discomfort during which a bandage contact lens is worn.
When can I return to work, screens and exercise?
Most flap or lenticule procedures: desk work and screens from day-1, light gym from day-3, swimming and dust-prone sports after 4 weeks, contact sports after 3 months. PRK: 5-7 days off work, swimming after 4 weeks, contact sports after 1 month.
What is the difference between Contoura, SMILE and SILK?
Contoura Vision is a topography-guided LASIK creates a flap, treats the cornea using a topographic map of your eye for ultra-precise correction. SMILE (ReLEx) is a flapless procedure where a small lenticule of stromal tissue is extracted through a 2-4 mm side incision. SILK uses Johnson & Johnson's Elita femtosecond platform to create a smoother lenticule edge resulting in less induced dry-eye and faster visual recovery than older lenticule-extraction techniques.
What happens if my prescription comes back years later?
A small percentage of patients experience refractive regression years after laser surgery, especially if they had very high original prescriptions. In most cases a top-up enhancement (a second, smaller laser treatment) is possible. We monitor this annually as part of your follow-up plan.
I have dry eyes. Can I still go for LASIK?
Possibly with planning. Untreated dry eye worsens after any flap-based laser procedure. We treat the dry-eye condition first warm compresses, lid hygiene, lubricants, sometimes punctal plugs and re-evaluate after 6 to 12 weeks. SILK and ICL are gentler alternatives in chronic dry-eye cases.
Who is not a candidate at all?
Patients with keratoconus or other corneal ectasia, very thin corneas (below ~480 µm), severe untreated dry eye, active ocular infection, uncontrolled diabetes, autoimmune disorders affecting wound healing, pregnancy or lactation. For some of these patients ICL or RLE remain safe options others should not undergo elective refractive surgery.
What does Cure For Eyes charge for the work-up and follow-up?
Our candidacy work-up is ₹3,500 and includes Pentacam, aberrometry, pachymetry, dry-eye work-up, cycloplegic refraction and the written recommendation. The 12-month follow-up bundle (5 visits) is ₹6,000. Both are billed by Cure For Eyes. The surgical procedure itself is billed by the partner surgical centre per the rates listed above.
